The Surprising Science of Meetings: Learnings and Implications for Talent and Personnel Practitioners, Consultants, and You as a Meeting Leader

4:00 - 7:00 PM: Talent Connection & Networking Event
Attendees of the event will have an opportunity to convene with fellow I-O professionals and representatives from many DC area agencies and companies to gain valuable insights into the latest research, innovations, and employment opportunities.

SPEAKER:

Steven Rogelberg, Ph.D. is the Chancellor's Professor for distinguished national, international, and interdisciplinary contributions at UNC Charlotte.  He recently won the prestigious international Humboldt Award for his research and the First Citizens Bank Scholar Award, and was the inaugural winner of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology Humanitarian Award.

Copies of Dr. Rogelberg's book - The Science of Meetings: How You Can Lead Your Team to Peak Performance - are available for sale as part of event registration.  If you already own a copy, please bring it along for him to sign!  The Washington Post called the book the #1 Leadership book to watch for in 2019; Business Insider dubbed it among the "Top 14 Business Books everyone will be reading in 2019." His book brings a sharp and strategic light to an activity typically taken for granted - the meeting.  Dr. Rogelberg will share an exciting evidence-based path for leaders, as well as talent and personnel practitioners and consultants, to realize the true potential of meetings and assure ROI on what is a massive investment of time.

We hope you can join us this year for another great opportunity for professional development and networking!
