Generative AI in Assessment and Selection: Applicant and Employer Perspectives

Generative artificial intelligence (AI)-specifically, large language models (LLMs)-have generated excitement and controversy in the assessment world. On the one hand, they hold potential for scaling up structured assessments in various ways, including content creation, delivery, and scoring. On the other hand, organizations are being flooded with AI-generated applications and applicants are using LLMs to cheat on assessments. This presentation will introduce the audience to LLMs to give them a clear understanding of how they work and their fundamental shortcomings. Then, Dr. Hickman will present his program of research on this topic, from understanding the threat posed by LLMs in unproctored testing, to developing, delivering, and scoring assessments with LLMs. Attendees will come away with a greater understanding of how to prepare themselves for the age of LLMs, both in industry and academia.

5:30-8:30pm: Networking, Hors D'oeuvres and Drinks, and Booths for Sponsors

Registration closes at 11PM EST on Wednesday, November 19th. Register now!
