Technology in Recruiting and Selection: Being Mindful About Accessibility and Bias

This talk will focus on how the continual technological changes in how we recruit and hire have opened many doors with regard to access and have attenuated some of the sources of human biases that can impact decisions. However, new barriers are also emerging. While some in the selection arena are drawing attention to topics like AI and potential biases in training data, there are concerns that have received less attention (e.g., interactive effects from recruitment ranking tools and AI screeners, input modalities and accessibility, assistive technology compatibility, identity representations in multimedia stimuli) . This talk will provide questions (and some answers) for those who design and implement hiring systems to ponder on regarding how our technological advancements may be having more hidden impacts and/or contributing to bias in less obvious ways.

4:30-7:30pm: Networking, Hors D'oeuvres and Drinks, and Booths for Sponsors

Registration closes at 11PM EST on Wednesday, November 15th. Register now!
