New PTC/MW Website Ready to Launch

This month we are excited to announce the launch of the new and improved PTC/MW website. If you are reading this note you have already seen some of the improvements to the website. Special thanks to Zack Horn (Aptima), our Webmaster, who has been leading this effort as part of the Communications committee. He has done a fantastic job on the website redesign and has incorporated some cutting edge technology. It is worth reiterating several of the new website features here. Welcome to 2010

As I
write the first President’s Note of 2010, Washington DC is covered in
the most snow the city has ever seen in December. Don’t ask how it
happened so quickly, but 2009 is over and 2010 has arrived, and
hopefully with it comes an upswing to the economic downturn,
organizational and individual stability, and another banner year for
PTC/MW. I would like to commend the work done by the 2009 PTC/MW Board
and Committees. Past President Rich Cober (Marriott International) and
company did an outstanding job in 2009, which will likely go down in
PTC history as the year of the webcast.
This technology has opened a whole new set of connections from PTC/MW
to individuals and communities outside of the metro DC area. The
ability to webcast our top-tier lineup of PTC/MW presenters should
provide the opportunity to cross-pollinate with professional
organizations all over the country.
