The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation.

FDA’s Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) is responsible for protecting consumers and enhancing public health by maximizing compliance of FDA regulated products and minimizing risk associated with those products. 

The Division of Human Resource Development (DHRD) is the office responsible for building and administering human resource development programs for the regulatory staff that carries out the mission of ORA.  DHRD is seeking highly qualified candidates to apply to the Certification Program Supervisor position with DHRD’s Certification Team. 

This position is being offered as a Supervisory Social Science Analyst (GS-0101-14).

As the Certification Program Supervisor, you will be expected to oversee the technical, administrative, and personnel management functions of ORA’s certification program.  This includes acting as a primary point of contact for the certification program; leading certification program tasks including job task analyses; developing, validating, and implementing content-valid tests; developing program policies and procedures; and leading program evaluations.

The Certification Program Supervisor must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact with a diverse workforce when completing tasks such as facilitating focus groups and meetings; preparing and presenting the results of studies to audiences inside and outside of FDA; and directing and supervising staff engaged in certification program activities. 
This position is being offered as a GS-14.  GS-13 applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service;
